MY STORY

I was serving with the Detroit Police Department when its funding and administration was taken over by the private corporation Omni Consumer Products. I was a mild-mannered family man, living with my wife Ellen and my son Jimmy. My psychological profile states that I was top of my class at the police academy and possessed a fierce sense of duty. I was partnered with Officer Anne Lewis, a veteran herself of Old Detroit.

We were on patrol when a gang hit a pharmaceutical company. They gave chase and after a rolling shootout, we chased the truck to an abandoned steel mill. As we split up to search for them, I was captured by three gang members. They took turns firing their shotguns, shearing off my right arm and blasting holes in every part of my body. Amazingly, I was still alive and rushed to the emergency room, where doctors tried in vain to keep me alive because of my stellar record and near-perfect psychological profile. Portions of my body were subsequently used to create a prototype RoboCop.

And that’s pretty much how I found myself in advertising.
